Zone A is the very first land development in TSEZ and consists of 405 Ha of land, a portion of an aggregate area of 2,400 Ha allocated by Myanmar Government as TSEZ. The international standard development of Zone A was started in December 2013 and was completed in August 2015 by MJTD as sole developer alongside main contractor Penta-Ocean for construction and sub-contractors Kiden, Kubota and KDDI for power distribution lines, water treatment plants and fiber optic cables respectively.The grand opening ceremony of Zone A was held on 23rd September, 2015 and was honored by the presence of Myanmar’s then Vice President, U Nyan Tun as well as Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Taro Aso.Nearly 98% of Zone A is occupied by 85 investors from 17 different countries around the world, who are in various industries including construction material, packaging, garment, food and beverage, agricultural product, medical product, and automotive parts.
