
Thilawa SEZ reaffirms commitment to community support with Food Assistance Program

The Thilawa Special Economic Zone (TSEZ) reaffirms the commitment to community support with the fourth time of the Rice Donation (Food Assistance Program), dedicated to easing the hardships of households in neighbouring communities. From February 25 to February 27, 2025, this program was conducted in Aye Mya Thida Ward and Shwe Pyi Tharyar Ward in Kyauktan, as well as Ah Lwan Suk Village in Thanlyin Township.
This year’s initiative covered 1,834 hardship households with 12-kg rice bags each. In addition to households, teachers from eight community schools and five monasteries around TSEZ were also included in the distribution, bringing the total number of 1,850 rice bags were provided.
As part of the ongoing commitments to social responsibility, Thilawa SEZ remains steadfast in strengthening the bond with neighboring communities. Through initiatives like this, TSEZ upholds the spirit of "Share and Care," continually seeking ways to support and uplift the well-being of the Thilawa SEZ community.
