Over 11,000 employees of various companies and factories at Thilawa Special Economic Zone have completed in receiving Covid-19 vaccine shots on 7^th December, 2021. It can be said that nearly 90% of total employees at Thilawa SEZ has been completed the Covid-19 vaccines. The vaccination program was arranged by the cooperation between Thilawa Special Economic Zone Management Committee (TSMC) and Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited (MJTD)

With the aiming on protection against the diseases and safety to all locators and their employees, we organized and provided such a vaccination program in order to be a great contribution to our community.

The vaccination program was starting from the end of August with three batches of vaccination schedules by following the guidelines from Prevention of Covid-19 disease. We offered two types of Vaccines – Sinovac and Sinopharm (BIBP) without any charging to employees and we could provide the complete doses for 3,944 employees in the first Batch, 5,370 employees in the second and 1,695 employees in the final batch. As additionally, we also provided the two doses of Sinopharm Vaccines to 645 persons who are family members of employees of Thilawa SEZ.
