
Thilawa SEZ Successfully Completes 4 Units Toilet including facilities and Walkway Installation Project at BEPS Tat Yar Kone

Thilawa Special Economic Zone is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 4-Unit Toilet Installation Project, including a water pump, walkway construction, and old toilet repair at Basic Education Primary School (BEPS) – Tat Yar Kone, located in Shwe Pyi Thar Yar Ward, Kyauk Tan Township.
This initiative was undertaken to provide essential infrastructure aimed at enhancing student hygiene and addressing the basic facility needs of the school. With a total cost of 37,653,000/- kyats, the scope of the project included the Construction of 4 new toilet units with septic tanks, the repair of existing toilet facilities, the installation of a safe and accessible walkway and the provision of a water pump to support ongoing sanitation efforts.
A handover ceremony was held on May 15, 2025, at BEPS Tat Yar Kone, during which all construction-related documents were officially transferred to the school by the Community Relations Officer from the Community Relations Department of MJTD, on behalf of all locators. In recognition of this contribution, the School Principal presented a letter of appreciation to Thilawa SEZ.
These upgrades are expected to significantly improve hygiene and safety at the school, fostering a healthier and more supportive learning environment for the students.
