TSEZ All Locators Badminton Tournament 2024: A Celebration of Sportsmanship and Unity

The TSEZ All Locators Badminton Tournament 2024 successfully took place on November 2 and 3, starting at 8:00 AM each day at Rental Factory C within the Thilawa Special Economic Zone (TSEZ). The tournament aimed to:
- Strengthen relationships among TSEZ locators through sports activities.
- Promote a positive image of TSEZ by fostering cooperation in future socially responsible initiatives.
- Encourage employees to engage in physical activities to enhance both physical and mental well-being.
- Unite all locators under the shared identity of “Thilawa SEZ.”
The event featured an impressive 130 matches across two competitive levels—Beginner and Experience—spanning five categories: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. A total of 18 locators, including MJTD, participated enthusiastically in this category. Additionally, the Mixed Team Event brought together 12 teams from 8 locators, showcasing exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship.
The tournament was officiated by Referee and Umpires from the Myanmar Badminton Federation. On November 2, 81 matches were completed, including the first three rounds and quarterfinals. The remaining quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals took place on November 3, culminating in the Closing and Awarding Ceremony.
The Beginner Level Champions are:
- Men's Singles: Mr. Phay Than Lin (Indorama Ventures Co., Ltd)
- Women's Singles: Ms. Yi Mon Thein (MJTD)
- Men's Doubles: Mr. Khun Myo Khun & Mr. Chit Ko Ko (CPP Fertilizer Co., Ltd)
- Women's Doubles: Ms. Mya Mya Hmway & Ms. Ingyin Thaw (BS Yangon Co., Ltd)
- Mixed Doubles: Mr. Khun Myo Khun & Ms. Lae Shwe Yee Hnin (CPP Fertilizer Co., Ltd)
The Second and Third prizes in this category were secured by teams from CPP Fertilizer Co. Ltd., BS Yangon Co. Ltd., Indorama Ventures Co. Ltd., MJTD, Fumakilla Myanmar, Konoike Myanmar, and TCCC Myanmar.
The Experience Level Champions are:
- Men's Singles: Mr. Ranaldi (Kalbe Myanmar Co., Ltd)
- Men's Doubles: Mr. Ranaldi & Mr. Aung Khant Pai (Kalbe Myanmar Co., Ltd)
The Second and Third prizes went to players from Vanguard Apparel, BS Yangon, Guston Amava, and MJTD.
The Mixed Team Event Winners are:
- Champion: CPP Fertilizer Team A
- 2nd Prize: MJTD Team B
- 3rd Prizes: MJTD Team A & PEB Steel Team
The tournament attracted an enthusiastic crowd of 400 spectators over two days, cheering passionately for their respective teams. The event was a resounding success, filled with joy, camaraderie, and the spirit of competition.
