Thilawa SEZ Hosts the Visits to TSEZ for Grade 5 Students
Thilawa, September 20
From September 18 to 20, 2024, the Thilawa Special Economic Zone (TSEZ) welcomed 340 students of Grade 5 from 10 schools from TSEZ communities as part of a personal development program to enhance their academic knowledge and practical knowledge.
The program, tailored to complement the students' curriculum of Grade 5 —including the Thilawa SEZ—bridges the gap between theoretical study and practical understanding. Until now, students had only learned about the SEZ in the classroom; this visit provided them with direct exposure to the TSEZ, fostering a deeper comprehension of its role and strengthening relations with surrounding communities.
This visit began with an interactive briefing session of the Community Relations Department of MJTD at the MJTD Multipurpose Hall, where students enthusiastically engaged in learning about the SEZ. Then a guided tour of Zone A and Zone B of the SEZ was provided and the tour offered students an inside look into the infrastructures and factories inside TSEZ.
It was found that this kind of visit plays a vital role in the holistic development of students. By integrating real-world experiences into the curriculum, TSEZ empowers students with learning opportunities that inspire curiosity, knowledge pursuit, and well-rounded development.
This initiative underscores TSEZ's commitment to practical education and community engagement, enhancing students’ theoretical knowledge while fostering the development of the students around Thilawa SEZ.
