Environmental Awareness Talks at BEHS Aye Mya Thida

Thilawa Special Economic Zone (TSEZ), in collaboration with the Environmental Conservation Department (ECD) of Yangon Southern District and School Committee, successfully hosted an Environmental Awareness Talk at Basic Education High School Aye Mya Thida, Aye Mya Thida Ward, Kyauk Tan Township.

The event took place on 11 July 2024, and focused on the topic of “Marine Pollution.” Approximately 180 students from Grade 10, 11 and 12 attended, engaging actively with the informative discussions that emphasized the importance of marine conservation, including the protection of marine ecosystems and species. The topics also covered reducing usage of plastics and the importance of land conservation. This initiative provided valuable insights into environmental issues and their impacts, fostering a deeper understanding among the students.

Thilawa SEZ remains dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability through such impactful initiatives. The success of the Environmental Awareness Talk at school highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering a sense of environmental responsibility within the community.
