MJTD Hosts CSR Engagement Meeting: Stakeholders Review on FY2023-2024 Initiatives and Plan for 2024-2025

The TSEZ CSR Engagement Meeting was a significant event that brought together stakeholders from the Thilawa Special Economic Zone. Convened by the Community Relations Department of MJTD, the meeting took place on April 9, 2024, at the MJTD Multipurpose Hall.

The purpose of the meeting was to report on the Social Responsible Activities of TSEZ for FY2023-2024. Stakeholders were given a brief overview of the initiatives during the year. The meeting served as a platform for building relationships, understanding different perspectives, and addressing concerns related to the implementation of social support programs for neighboring communities of TSEZ.

The discussions in the meeting highlighted the review of last fiscal year's activities and the importance of integrating diverse viewpoints into Thilawa SEZ’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies for the fiscal year 2024-2025. Stakeholders shared their experiences, contributions, and opinions on collaborative efforts to enhance the capacity and execution of Social Responsibility Activities of TSEZ.

During the meeting, 29 representatives from 20 locators of the TSEZ came together to discuss the ongoing Corporate Social Responsible Activities. This collaborative approach not only strengthens the bond between the locators and the local communities but also sets a model for future CSR endeavors within the TSEZ.

The meeting fostered a spirit of cooperation and shared commitment toward enhancing the well-being of neighboring communities. The exchange of diverse perspectives and experiences paved the way for more inclusive and effective CSR strategies for the fiscal year 2024-2025. This meeting reaffirms TSEZ's dedication to sustainable development and strong relationships between TSEZ, its stakeholders, and the communities, setting a benchmark for future CSR activities around Thilawa SEZ.
