TSEZ Hosts the 9th Annual Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony

Thilawa, October 15

The Community Relations Department of Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development (MJTD), together with all locators of the Thilawa SEZ, successfully organized the 9th Annual TSEZ Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony at Yadanar Mahar Myaing Monastery, Shwe Pyauk Village Tract, Kyauk Tan Township.

Representatives from 13 locators, along with officials from MJTD, TPD, invited guests, and the TSMC Vice-Chairman, Secretary, and Members, attended the ceremony. The event was graced by invited and resident monks, with the proceedings led by Venerable Citta Sukha Sayadaw.

The program followed a traditional agenda, including the Observance of the Five Precepts, a Dhamma talk delivered by the Venerable Sayadaw, the offering of the Kathina Main Robe, accessory robes, and various requisites, and a communal lunch for monks and participating guests.

This annual tradition continues to uphold the cultural and spiritual values of the community while strengthening the relationship between Thilawa SEZ and its neighboring communities. The successful ceremony reflects the collective generosity and shared commitment to preserving this meaningful Myanmar Buddhist tradition.
