TSEZ Provides Academic Fund to Two High Schools for Educational Purposes
Thilawa, July 31
The Thilawa Special Economic Zone (TSEZ) proudly hosted an Academic Fund Awarding Ceremony at MJTD’s Multipurpose Hall on 31st July 2025, celebrating its continued commitment to educational development in the surrounding community.
The President and CEO of Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited, Mr. Toru Haneda awarded meaningful academic funds to two high schools—BEHS Aye Mya Thida and BEHS Myaing Thar Yar—each receiving MMK 2,000,000 to enhance learning opportunities for their students. Subsequently, the principals of both schools were re-awarded Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their ongoing dedication.
This marks the third consecutive year that TSEZ has provided academic support to these schools, enhancing access to quality education in the surrounding communities. This financial support will be used to hire external (non-in-service) teachers, cover utility expenses, and purchase essential teaching materials for the students.
This initiative is part of a program on contribution in the Education Sector of TSEZ Neighboring Communities, which focuses on both access to quality educational opportunities for children around PACs. By providing resources to both students and schools, TSEZ aims to create a nurturing environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth. This continued commitment to education reflects TSEZ's dedication to empowering the next generation of children within TSEZ.
