More than 4,000 students in Thilawa SEZ are provided with over 55 million MMK worth school supplies as MJTD continues to play an active role in CSR movements

After the accomplishment of “Homage Paying Donation” ceremony, Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development (MJTD) organized “Back to School” donation program for the fifth time on the 20th of May, where stationery kits and school supplies were donated to over 4,000 children,  more than 1,200 increase in the total number of children compared to last year.  The ceremony was held at the Moe Kyoe Swan Monastery near the economic zone as joint CSR activities of MJTD together with TSEZ’s locators and investors that support the neighboring community around Thilawa.

Thilawa Special Economic Zone donates stationery and school supplies worth US$ 40,000 for more than 2,700 students

Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development (MJTD) organized a donation ceremony on the 23rd of May, where stationery kits and school supplies were donated to more than 2,700 children from households located within and near the Thilawa Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

FDI in Thilawa SEZ hits US $150 million in 3 months

According to the Myanmar Investment Commission, total FDI in the Thilawa SEZ project reached approximately US $150 million between April and July of 2018.

According to a press conference held by the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), total foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone (SEZ) has reached approximately US $150 million in the space of three months.
